We pride ourselves on a lot of things at Iowa School for the Deaf! One of them is the variety of activities we offer for not only our students but other deaf and hard-of-hearing 1st-12th grade students who may not attend Iowa School for the Deaf. There are a variety of events, for different ages and different days, nights, or weekends. However, they all have the same goals: to provide interactive, fun, communication-friendly opportunities for everyone. Sign only? Voice only? Sign a little and voice a little? Regardless of the way you communicate, you are welcome here. Parents are also invited to get an idea of the interaction that is possible when language and social barriers aren’t an issue. Adventure Beyond the Stars!
February 15, 2020 | 10 am – 4 pm
Fellow astronauts! Come explore the wonders of outer space with us at this ‘out of this world’ day camp! Free of charge, and open to K-12 Deaf/HH students in Iowa. Transportation available within a certain radius from Davenport. Pickup/Drop offs possible in or near Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Maquoketa, Burlington, and Mt. Pleasant.

Saturday, December 14, 2019 | 10am – 4pm for 4th – 7th grade and 8th-12th grades. On ISD campus.
Join us for some wintry fun at ISD! There will be crafts, games, food, and socialization opportunities! This event is free of charge, and transportation will be provided within a certain radius from ISD. Pick up and drop offs possible near Des Moines, Sioux City, Denison, Clarinda, and more! Registration required.
