Office of Deaf Services
Division of Community Advocacy Services (CAS), Iowa Department of Human Rights (formerly Deaf Services Commission of Iowa). “Our Motivation is to Serve, Represent, and Provide a Greater Understanding of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Individuals at Any Age Across the State”
Iowa’s Deafblind Services Project The purpose of this grant is to build the capacity of families and service providers to improve the outcomes of children and young adults (birth – 21) who are deafblind.
This program works to ensure that all newborns and toddlers with hearing loss are identified as early as possible and provided with timely and appropriate audiological, educational, medical intervention and family support. The EHDI program is also dedicated to providing unbiased support to families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
AG Bell Association of Iowa
AG Bell of Iowa Chapter AG Bell of Iowa is to advocate for children and adults who are deaf or hard of hearing in the State of Iowa by connecting families and professionals. Our goals include promoting the development of listening and speaking skills in individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, as well as public awareness, early detection, and intervention of hearing loss.
Iowa Hands & Voices is a parent-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. We are non-biased about communication methodologies and believe that families will make the best choices for their child if they have access to good information and support.
Free-loan described and captioned educational media is available to students who are deaf, blind, hard of hearing, visually impaired, or deaf-blind
