The ISD campus is nestled at the base of the Loess Hills on the southeast edge of Council Bluffs. Its 100 acres include a nature center and nearly one-mile paved trail, more than 50 varieties of trees and expansive, well-groomed grounds.
From I-80: Take Exit 4 to I-29 South. Take IA-92/US-275 N Exit 47 toward Lake Manawa. This exit appears shortly after entering I-29. Turn right or east onto I-92 Veterans Memorial Hwy. Turn right/south onto Harry Langdon Blvd/Wabash Trace. School entrance is on left; the road makes a Y. For administration building (including the museum), careers building and elementary, stay to the left; for high school, stay to the right.
