March 11 – 13, 2020 at Iowa School for the Deaf in Council Bluffs
We are excited to bring back STEM Days for the second year to Iowa’s 6th -8th grade students who are deaf or hard of hearing! This year’s theme is zoology and includes a trip to Henry Doorly Zoo. Students will meet a veterinarian and former zookeeper- both whom are deaf!
Teachers are welcome to join their students as they explore lessons and activities that fulfill NGSS life science standards.
Free transportation for Iowa residents is provided- pickup will be Tuesday night, March 10, and drop off will be after 11.30 a.m. dismissal on Friday, March 13. Meals and supervised dorm lodging provided.
