Iowa School for the Deaf has materials on a variety of subjects to enhance interaction with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing. Free Statewide Sign Language Class
Contact Cindy Schrum, ICN Sign Language Class Coordinator 712.366.0571 Always wanted to learn sign language, or need it for daily interaction with a family member, co-worker or the public? Through the Iowa Communication Network, weekly classes are held throughout the state. Sign language classes and Topics About Deafness will be conducted October thru March. Registration is now closed for the 2012-13 sign language classes.

Looking for a variety of information to improve your deaf or hard-of-hearing child's life? ISD's Topics About Deafness series provides speakers on myriad topics relevant to you. This free network (thanks to the Iowa Lions Foundation) meets via the Iowa Communications Network at a location convenient to your home, work place or school.
