Students are eager to learn in ISD's new Science Center.

A New Science Center

State-of-the-art science facilities are essential for today's students to meet current curriculum requirements, as well as inspire them to pursue science and health careers. Iowa School for the Deaf recognizes the paramount importance in helping its students succeed in their science studies. To this end, the school is raising funds to renovate the former high school swimming pool into a spacious, well-equipped science center which will serve its preschool through 12th grade students.

The project's cost is $1.5 million. Several foundations and individuals have already pledged their support for the project. We need your help to close the fundraising campaign. Help us make our goal of opening the center in fall, 2010!
